KANATA STITTSVILLE

The Kanata Sittsville chapter of SYC was established in Spring 2023. Their vision for the Sustainable Youth Canada branch in Kanata/Stittsville is to reduce the amount of waste produced through construction and development and bring a more holistic perspective to planning suburban neighborhoods. They believe that looking at embodied carbon in construction waste, the dynamics between land management as well as biodiversity and looking at the full life-cycle of waste is important for a socioecological transtion of society.

This chapter aims to leverage this SYC chapter to:
  • Establish a platform for youth voices.
  • Lead local initiatives in Kanata Sittsville to create awareness for energy management and environmental sustainability.
  • Co-operate with local organizations to bridge the gap between partner organizations seeking help and volunteers seeking opportunities to get involved with sustainability.

We are always looking for new members to volunteer with us, so if you are interested in getting involved, please apply here. We look forward to having you join us!
